Show: To cause or allow something to be seen, To let something be seen

  • Present: show, shows, showing (progressive)
  • Past: showed, shown (past participle)
  • Future: show

Additional Meanings of Show

Show: To reveal/disclose through behavior or nature

For instance:

  • My kindness shows my good heart because I believe in helping others.
  • He showed himself to be pure evil because he has done something with his friends.

Note:- In these two sentences, we can replace the verb show with reveal.

Show: To give, as appropriate (It is not used for objects or material)

For instance:

  • Always show your kindness!
  • Always show your respect for others.

For instance:
